A teenager has been arrested after being found in possession of a knife.
The incident took place yesterday Sunday 16 May on Tayfen Road, in Bury St Edmunds after officers received intelligence suggesting he was carrying a knife.
Following a stop and search, officers arrested a 17 -year-old male teenager on suspicion of being in possession of a bladed item.
The teenager was taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre and was subsequently charged with possession of a knife in a public place. He has been bailed to appear before Ipswich Magistrates’ Court on 29 June 2021.
