Police in Bury St Edmunds searching for a missing man from Sudbury have found a body.

The discovery was made at just after 11am yesterday morning, Friday 9 December, in a wooded area within the grounds of West Suffolk Hospital on Hardwick Lane.

This was close to where 52-year-old Stephen Keyse had last been seen alive.

Stephen was reported missing on Thursday 10 November, having last been seen on Monday 7 November at West Suffolk Hospital.

Formal identification procedures in respect of the deceased have not yet taken place, but the family of Stephen Keyse have been notified of the discovery.

The death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the Coroner in due course.
