Multi-agency day of action targets criminals using our roads in Bury St Edmunds

A Multi agency day of action took place in Bury St Edmunds yesterday aimed at disrupting criminals who use West Suffolk’s Roads.

The intelligence led operation involved vehicles identified as being potentially involved in criminality being brought back to a site where police and partner agencies will conduct checked of the vehicles and occupants.

As well as police, HM revenues & Customs carried out fuel Checks during the operation ensuring vehicles were not using red diesel

One Male was arrested after he provided positive test for drugs whilst driving

A number of vehicles were stopped with unsafe loads including a driver who was stopped after he was spotted towing a caravan in a vehicle that was not of sufficient size
