A much-loved wooden carving in Nowton Park has been replaced with a brand new one.
The Panda, which was carved in 1998 and stood in the park had succumbed to the elements and was starting to rot.
Now a brand new carving created by local Woodcarver Luke Chapman has been installed. The panda, complete with Bamboo in hand, was transported to the park yesterday, Tuesday 4th May, and installed.
