Passengers on a Greater Anglia Train have been forced to stand in a toilet cubicle as cancelations and overcrowded trains continue to be a problem.
Greater Anglia has now replaced all but one of its old fleet of trains with new bi-mode electric/diesel trains but passengers are still experiencing problems.
Yesterdayâs 4.47 Cambridge-Ipswich was cancelled making the 5.47 so over crowded that a group of passengers were forced to stand in a toilet cubicle. Taking to twitter, Oscar Hedge from Bury St Edmunds and who has previously petitioned to improve the service, shared a video of himself and 6 or 7 other passengers standing next to a toilet.
4.47 Cambridge-Ipswich cancelled so 5.47 packed. Passengers had no choice but to stand in the toilet and then the train was half an hour delayed @greateranglia pic.twitter.com/7wL6HklVl8

Bury St. Edmunds MP Jo Churchill says a response from Greater Anglia to her about her concerns about train services ‘is not good enough’. She will continue to push for immediate improvements to the network.
She added that ‘I will be seeking an urgent meeting with the Secretary of State for Transport regarding the Greater Anglia franchise’.
