Police appeal after woman followed in Bury St Edmunds

Police are appealing for witnesses and information after a woman was followed in Bury St Edmunds.

The incident occurred at some point between 11am and 11:10am Thursday 3 February.

A woman aged in her 40s was walking her dog in the woodland area of the Moreton Hall Estate, near Bedingfeld Way opposite the retail park with Homebase and the Peugeot garage, when she noticed two men acting suspiciously. As she walked, one of the men began to follow her, increasing his pace to match hers and then chased her as she started to run.

The woman ran to a nearby house where police were called. She was not injured, however felt distressed and threatened by the incident.

The men are described as white, aged in their 20s and both were wearing surgical face masks. One of the men was wearing a blue coat, the other a black coat.
