Purse stolen from a handbag in distraction theft in a supermarket carpark

A woman has had a large quantity of cash stolen after her purse taken in a supermarket carpark in a distraction theft.

Two people approached the lady, one told her that her car had been hit by another car whilst the other stole her purse and her phone from her hand bang. The purse contained a large quantity of cash as well as cards and her driving licence. Both men, who were very polite, are described as tall and smartly dressed and wearing Bluetooth headsets. Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident and urging us to be vigilant.
