Thurston Community college was forced in to lock down today after a bomb scare which hit schools across the country.
More than 400 schools in England have received the hoax email threatening to detonate a bomb on school grounds if money is not handed over.
Principal at Thurston confirmed that the bomb threat was received by email at 09:34 this morning (Monday 19th March).
The school was one of 6 in Suffolk to receive the email and after taking advice from the Local Authority and the Police the school returned to it’s normal routine by 11am.
It’s thought a feud between rival online gaming networks was the motivation of the hoax.
