Weekday Afternoon Presenter
We’re looking for enthusiastic new voices to join our weekday afternoon lineup, including on our drive time show “Bury’s BIG Drive Home”!
If you love music, local news, and connecting with the community, this is your chance to get behind the mic and make the afternoons come alive.No prior radio experience is needed – just enthusiasm, reliability, and a willingness to learn. Full training and support will be provided to help you feel at home in the studio.
This is a regular weekday afternoon slot, perfect for anyone who enjoys engaging conversation and keeping listeners company as they go about their day.
Saturday Afternoon Presenter
Do you have the energy to bring Saturday afternoons to life on the radio?
We’re on the lookout for passionate presenters to host a regular weekend show packed with music, local stories, and great conversation.You don’t need broadcasting experience – just a friendly voice, community spirit, and eagerness to learn. Training and ongoing support will be provided.
This role is ideal for someone who wants to be part of a lively Saturday schedule, helping us entertain and inform listeners as they head into the weekend.
Midweek Morning show assistant / producer
We are looking for a new assistant/producer for our popular Midweek Morning Show (Wednesdays from 10am). The show is a magazine style show which features guests from in and around West Suffolk.
You will work closely with the presenter helping to arrange interviews, greet and make guests comfortable in the studio and assist the with any other elements of producing this busy show.
No previous experience necessary, but making a brilliant cuppa’ is essential!
Sports editor
Are you passionate about local sport? RWSfm 103.3, West Suffolk’s local radio station, is looking for a dedicated Sports Editor to join our volunteer team.
West Suffolk is home to a vibrant sporting scene – from football and rugby to cricket and beyond – and we’re looking for someone who’s eager to keep our community up to date with all the latest action.
This flexible role requires a minimum commitment of writing two weekly reports for our local news bulletins:
A Friday preview of the weekend’s upcoming fixtures
A Sunday roundup covering results and highlights
But there’s plenty of room for the role to grow, with the chance to:
Conduct interviews with local teams, managers and coaches
Potentially host or co-host a dedicated sports programme on air
