Station assistant – Admin & Operations

The Admin & Operations Assistant keeps RWSfm 103.3 running smoothly day‑to‑day. This role ensures the studios are operational, volunteers are supported, paperwork and scheduling are organised, and the station’s premises, utilities, and safety processes are well‑managed. It is the organisational backbone of the station, coordinating people, spaces, and systems so presenters can focus on delivering great radio.

Station assistant -Audio & Sound

This role shapes the sound of RWSfm 103.3. The Audio Producer & Sound Designer creates the imaging, jingles, promos, sweepers, and branding elements that give the station its identity. They ensure everything listeners hear between the songs — from adverts to promos — sounds polished, consistent, and unmistakably “us”.

Broadcast Engineer

The Engineer oversees all technical and broadcast infrastructure at RWSfm 103.3. This role ensures the station stays on‑air reliably, safely, and to a high technical standard. It covers studio equipment, transmitters, playout systems, IT infrastructure, and technical support for volunteers. The Engineer is the guardian of the station’s sound and the backbone of its technical operations.

Community Engagement Assistant

This role strengthens RWSfm 103.3’s connection with the community by building meaningful partnerships, supporting local groups, and developing sustainable commercial opportunities. It focuses on long‑term relationship‑building with independent businesses, charities, and local organisations, ensuring the station remains rooted in local life and financially resilient.

Digital Content & Creative Media Assistant

This role leads the station’s digital presence and visual identity, creating engaging content that strengthens RWSfm 103.3’s connection with listeners, volunteers, and the wider community. It covers graphic design, social media, website updates, video/audio content, and digital storytelling — ensuring the station looks professional, feels local, and reaches people where they are.

Events Assistant

This role leads the planning and delivery of RWSfm 103.3’s events and community presence. It covers live events, fundraising activities, community visits, and outside broadcasts — helping the station stay visible, connected, and active across the local area. The role strengthens relationships, raises the station’s profile, and creates memorable experiences for listeners and partners.

Finance and fundraising assistant

This role ensures the financial health and sustainability of RWSfm 103.3. It combines day‑to‑day financial management with long‑term funding development, including maintaining relationships with local businesses, identifying grant opportunities, writing funding bids, and managing reporting requirements. The role supports the station’s growth, transparency, and accountability.

HR Assistant

This role ensures RWSfm 103.3 is a safe, inclusive, supportive, and welcoming place for everyone. It combines safeguarding, wellbeing, youth outreach, accessibility, and volunteer recruitment into one central point of leadership. The role helps the station uphold high standards of care, representation, and professionalism while supporting volunteers throughout their journey with the station.

News & Sports Reporter

This role leads and delivers RWSfm 103.3’s local news and sports coverage. It combines editorial leadership with hands‑on reporting — gathering stories, writing scripts, producing audio, and presenting bulletins. The role ensures the station provides accurate, engaging, and community‑focused journalism across news and sport.

Sales Assistant

This role drives the station’s commercial growth by identifying, approaching, and securing advertising and sponsorship opportunities with local businesses. It focuses on finding new leads, building strong relationships, and promoting RWSfm 103.3 as a trusted, high‑quality platform for local advertising.
